These knives (in general) are one of my favorite utility knives. Carpet blades are stupid sharp and much more durable. These well incredibly well as an extra sharp utility knife.
This particular knife is well made. Tolerances are tight and promote confidence in use. Locks have held up – no slippage or failures to lock. Functionally the same as others I’ve used and matches anything you might get at the big box store. No complaints.

I have used a bunch of different utility knives over the years, but have never owned one myself, so when I saw this one through the vine program, I figured I would give it a shot.
There is something about this knife that draws my attention. The blue color of the knife looks nice, and the texture is good too. This knife feels good in your hands, and I feel safe with this thing in my pocket. The blade locks open or closed with a button on the side. I didn't have any problems actuating the button to open and close the knife, but at the same time, does not feel like it will move on its own.
The handle feels sturdy, and is a good size for your hand. The blade housing has multiple points it can lock at. I wish it could lock straight out, instead of always at an angle, but that is minor. The housing feels durable, and holds the blade in place where it needs to be. The blade is sharp out of the box, and is easy to change out (one button on the blade housing).
This thing feels very much like a pocket knife when holding it. I caution people that you might forget that the blade is double sided (unlike an actual pocket knife), so you will need to be careful when opening or closing it. I already noticed my fingers drifting towards the back edge of the knife because it is safe to do so on a regular pocket knife, but it gets close to the blade.
Overall, I am pleased with this knife, and at this moment, I don't see any glaring safety issues or defects in the knife.

I ordered this folding carpet knife more or less as utility knife then specifically for carpet I do have carpet knives and have found that they're sharpness appears to be considerably sharper than just about any other raise and knife I have owned . I primarily use this for cutting up boxes for disposal on a daily basis vinyl flooring and cutting heavy gauge vinyl plastic wrap which it does astoundingly well what I like about it most is it's functionality as a folding razor blade safety in a pocket it even has a pocket clip.its a very simple concept open and cut carpet (boxes ect.) then back safety in my pocket blade size appears to be common size same as mine folding carpet knife the capacity is one blade which is easily interchangeable with a push button so you can use both ends of the blade equally. No I have pretty big hands I wear a double x size glove and this fits perfectly in my hand it's fairly heavy made of a aluminum extremely well made tight tolerances no wiggle lock up . I'm not in the carpet industry but I've certainly cut my share of boxes and tile and stuff and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who was in the market for a folding carpet knife or box knife when only am I it is well made comfortable and solidly built

This carpet knife has a very ergonomic design to it. Different from the shape of a box knife, this curved approach makes it a little bit easier to apply pressure where you need it. We had to do some carpet repair for a friend and this worked perfectly. The blade is very sharp and cuts without snagging or missing. Again, probably a lot to do with the adjustable angle. Being able to fold up and having a clip is also a plus, again, a little better than a box knife where you have to retract the blade and there's no obvious at a glance indication that the blade is secured. The metal feels sturdy and not like something that will work its way loose over time. Overall, it's a simple product made well and worked for us perfectly.

This carpet knife is ideal for DIY projects. The design allows for a firm grip, making cutting easier. The double-sided blade is extremely sharp, so caution is needed to avoid injury. The price is reasonable for the quality. It also folds securely and can be attached to your belt, making it convenient to carry around.

+ If one side gets dull, a quick press of the button will let you pivot to the other side so you can continue the project.
+ The blade folds into the body, so as long as you remember to fold it, you can grab it out of a utility belt and not risk cutting yourself. It's really easy with other utility knives to forget to sheath the blade.
Issues:
– Because the blade is two-sided, there's a higher risk of cutting yourself if your hand slips down the handle.
– The blade isn't as long as other carpet knife blades.
– There's nowhere within the knife to store extra blades. You'll have to remember to keep extras on you as you work.
– It only comes with one blade. The package says that, so they aren't deceptive, but comparing this knife against similar knives, this one doesn't have as much to offer. The extra blades would have bumped the value but without them I don't think this one is worth the price.

This is an incredibly sharp utility knife. Because it’s a carpet blade it is sharp on both sides and I do have to keep reminding myself of that, but I love the fact that it folds in on itself when not use keeping the blade safe.
