Do not know if they will last longer than other blades; have not had them long enough but they sure cut faster and seem sharper than any other blades I have ever had great for stripping wire or cutting cardboard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best part is dispenser
These new good blades but the best part is the dispenser that makes it so easy to get blades. It’s the best part of the product plus great price

  8. Adam (verified owner) –

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and sharp
I love how sharp they stay. Was using 2 blades of other brand everyday. But not with these. One every 3ish day.

  9. Billy Ripken (verified owner) –

5.0 out of 5 stars Outlasts any other style of blade by orders of magnitude.
Buy this many of this blade and be done with wondering if you’ve got enough “to last a while”.
Design forces whatever you’re cutting into the first truly sharp part of the blade remaining and cuts it. And cuts it again and again ect..
Once you know about these, there is absolutely nothing redeemable about spending money on straight grind blades. At any cost. At any amount. In any level of demand for a blade.
Having used one of these blades, knowing how well they performed and THEN paying money for any other style more-or-less means you are a bad person. I’ll just say it. You are a criminal.

Bad side: This seems to be the only manufacturer that I can reliably find providing this style in an acceptably high count package.
Come on, free market, lets get some competition in here. I’ll literally buy the first one that my mouse lands on, so give your blade company a name starting pretty early in the alpha-numeric queue. “A1” would do just fine.
If this company goes tits up and I cant buy from anyone else, i’m throwing my blade-knife into an arc-furnace

  10. Shotgun (verified owner) –

5.0 out of 5 stars Cuts great.
Love the serrated edges. Cuts better than regular straight edge blades.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hands down the best utility blades on the planet
I’ve got a garage full of every type of utility blade I’ve tried over the years. The only other blade that ever came close to the performance, longevity, and razor-sharp edge these provide were a set Lowe’s used to sell under the Kobalt name that they haven’t sold in years (and I’d bet dollars to donuts were manufactured by Rapid Edge and rebranded Kobalt as Lowe’s doesn’t design/manufacture their own tools). Long story short, these are the ones. I am not sure what reservation you’d have other than the price but the product isn’t the same as the non-serrated so any comparisons for me end there. These will more than pay for themselves compared to any other blade out there. You won’t regret it. And no I don’t work for them or anything. I just think this is a really good product that makes me enjoy using my box cutter. Didn’t know that was even possible.

  12. Better than your kids (verified owner) –

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent blades, but I may prefer non serrated
I’ve been using these for general purposes for a few weeks. They cut well, but on some things the serrations seem to increase the cutting effort especially on rubber items or carpet padding. I have broken a couple of tips off.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice
I liked these serrated edged blades that I use on all my utility knives. They work very well for the amount of blades and price paid. Will buy again

  14. jesse knoll (verified owner) –

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome!
handy for everything. they even cut through fiber reinforced peel and stick flashing twice as well, and drywall like butter in comparing to normal blades. these blades last longer too. could not have asked for a better product. these blades will put irwin blades out of business. the only drawback, and it is a small one, it is a little harder to sharpen a pencil (just a little). happy i got the 100 pack too, they dont carry these anywhere locally,i have checked everywhere.

  15. AR (verified owner) –

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely Better Than Regular
I tried these and first didn’t seem to notice much difference until today. I just pulled blade through a tough piece of cardboard without drag,
Then I started cutting things around the house with these. I cut a clothes pin and a plastic hanger easy. I am an electrician and went to the van and stripped wire, I think it was a tie mostly, but I did notice that it did not bunch up and dig in the copper when I actually aimed for the wire,
I cut filter material 1” it did not too well. But it did go very impressively through sheet rock and did go further that the flat ones. SO maybe I will get a free hat for this review.

I edc a sharp folder to loan people asking if I have a knife and keep it sharp by an edc mini box cutter multi tool for most edc tasks. For that and any box cutter type blade holder, these are Tina Turner blades. Simply the best.

After 2-3 weeks of heavy use I finally flipped the blade, (tip snapped off the other end). These blades LAST beyond all others. Buy them, I've already picked up 3 packs for the future.

FAQs

What are Rapid Edge serrated utility blades made of?
Rapid Edge serrated utility blades are made from high-quality carbon alloy steel, designed for durability, sharpness, and long blade life even under heavy use.
Will these blades fit my utility knife?
Yes. Rapid Edge serrated blades are standard utility blade size and fit most utility knives, including Rapid Edge utility knives.
Why choose a serrated utility blade instead of a standard blade?
Serrated blades have multiple cutting edges that share the cutting load & work simultaneously. This reduces friction, allows faster cuts, and helps the blade stay sharp longer than traditional straight-edge blades.
Do serrated blades cut smoothly?
Yes. Rapid Edge serrated blades are precision-ground, so they do not produce a rough saw-like action. The cutting edges engage simultaneously to create a smooth, controlled cut on most materials.
What materials can these blades cut?
Rapid Edge serrated utility blades are ideal for cutting many common materials, including:
  • Cardboard and packaging
  • Rope and twine
  • Drywall
  • Rubber and vinyl
  • Roofing materials
  • Carpet and underlayment
